SERVICES
Fit Testing
Onsite quantitative fit testing for all respirator types, including half face, full face, SCBA, and N95 masks. Fit test on your existing respirators, or have facepieces provided to determine the correct model and size for each employee.

User Training
Instructor-led training on the capabilities and limitations of the respirator, proper fit/usage, how to recognize problems with respirator use, proper pre-use inspections and donning of a respirator, maintenance, and storage guidelines.

Medical Evaluations
Questionnaire review licensed health care professional (PLHCP) as necessary, and written respirator use approval signed by physician. Submitted securely via our online portal, eliminating the hassle and confidentiality issues of using paper forms.

QUALIFICATIONS
We conduct quantitative (QNFT) fit tests using a TSI Portacount machine, which represents the gold standard for fast, accurate respirator fit tests. Our comprehensive approach ensures we not only measure how well each facepiece seals to the user's face, but assess each employee's respirator donning technique, ensure the respirator works well with any additional protective equipment worn at work, and inspect each respirator for defects or wear that can compromise protection.
Safewest has supported respiratory protection programs for a variety of clients in industries ranging from construction to public safety to manufacturing to healthcare. Respiratory protection clients have included the US Military, Lakeside Fire Protection District, City of Signal Hill, City of Poway, Miramar College Fire Academy, and Lockheed Martin. Our lead technicians are credentialed by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, and have completed the Department of Labor authorized OSHA 2225 Respiratory Protection training.
